Key responsibilities

• Maintaining weekly bookkeeping for Talis Capital Limited and other associated Talis UK entities
• Preparing timely and accurate quarterly management accounts
• Reconciling balance sheet control accounts including fixed asset register, prepayments/accruals and accrued/deferred income
• Posting monthly reconciliation journals
• Raising sales invoices and reconciling bank statements
• Management of accounts payable, monitoring of payments and reconciling bank statements
• Maintaining and updating a 3 year cashflow forecast
• Weekly revenue reconciliation forecast
• Preparing budgets and variance analysis for the Talis management board
• Liaising with external accountants to prepare year-end statutory accounts in the UK
• Preparation of VAT returns, Corporate Tax estimates and payroll related submissions
• Investment vehicles reporting on an ad-hoc basis
• Supporting the FD in setting up, documenting, and automating processes
• Assisting the FD in updating policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• University degree
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
• Highly quantitative and proficient in financial reporting
• Strong analytical abilities
• Good attention to detail
• A driven self-starter, with ability to work independently & in a start-up environment
