Serena spends the majority of her time working closely with our portfolio companies on their ESG initiatives, drawing on her experience at an early-stage start-up to help them achieve their social and environmental goals. Serena is hugely passionate about the climate transition and loves working with entrepreneurs building products to facilitate it. 

After completing her undergraduate in Political Science from Durham University, Serena continued to pursue her interests in sustainable finance and impact investing through courses with the University of Cambridge and University of Harvard. She joined the investment team in 2020 as an intern; in 2021 she became Talis Capital’s ESG Impact Officer, becoming responsible for leading, drawing up and implementing the company’s overall ESG strategy. 

Outside of the office, you’ll find Serena exploring London’s Japanese food scene as well as overpriced (but delicious) delis, reading non-fiction (including everything the body to post-modernism) as well as pursuing her love of interior design by spending her life browsing Airbnb.
